On Saturday, April 9th, Soh Daiko went up to the Bronx to perform another concert as a part of Carnegie Hall’s JapanNYC, a citywide festival exploring Japan’s arts and culture which is dedicated to the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Our performance at Lehman College was a great experience with an audience largely unfamiliar with taiko. We played non-stop through 6 of our pieces and despite some interesting technical challenges, we ended with a bang!
Thanks to all who donated to the relief efforts for Japan and who showed us such enthusiasm in learning more about Soh Daiko!
